To date, over 1 million people who otherwise couldn’t hear have been given a chance to be a part of this world thanks to the Starkey Hearing Foundation — and Chicagoland Hearing Aid Centers powered by Starkey Hearing Technologies hearing aid wearers.Every time someone invests in better hearing for him or herself, Starkey Hearing Technologies makes a donation to the Starkey Hearing Foundation, which travels the globe to fit free hearing aids on people in need and to give them the priceless gift of hearing.Today, the Starkey Hearing Foundation is sustained by the efforts of thousands of volunteers and donors around the world. Their support allows us to deliver more than 100,000 hearing aids annually through more than 100 global hearing missions a year, in countries like Mexico, Malawi, Vietnam and Mozambique.
Raising awareness and promoting hearing health
In addition to giving the gift of hearing, the Foundation is committed to global hearing health and is leading a national program called Listen Carefully. Through music and education, Listen Carefully helps teens understand the science of hearing and dangers of exposure to high-decibel sounds. And its non-profit organization program Hear Now assists permanent U.S. residents who are deaf or hard-of-hearing and have limited financial resources.
